Work stuff, the highlight thereof being a flood in my O.R. and my escaping being crushed under a collapsing ceiling as I dashed heroically thru the torrents to save my anaesthetic machine from inundation. The result of a fractured pressurised water pipe up in the roof space. Well .... that's roughly what happened. Good news about an upcoming vacation in April next year. The finale of the sorry tale regarding David ......... and other random stuff.

Despite a hesitant start this episode kicks off with matters of a general nature, then moves into darker and more sombre territory with recollections of bad times with my ex-partner David.

Those with more acute hearing may detect the odd hoot from Abercrombie in the background - as well as the faint whistling/screaming noise due to gusts of wind blowing thru the window cracks as the strength of the gale outside increased.

It's Remembrance Sunday in Olde London Towne and the binaurals get an outing as the local parade passes by the apartment block. I retreat into Studio B and embark upon an hour long monologue - for which I apologise, gentle listeners. Mike's birthday, responses to listener comments, Remembrance Sunday in the U.K., are among the random items that issue forth from my lips as I meander through the outer reaches of my psyche.

My apologies, gentle listeners, for over-egging the pudding with so many episodes in so few days. But this is the bit I forgot to include/edit into the last one....... where I first experience the delights of the binaural mics then set off for the Canary Wharf Mall. Then a bit of leaving the apartment followed by some trundling down in the lift [sorry, elevator] and walking along the noisy street to the Docklands Light Railway station.

After this I promise not to trouble you with any more episodes for at least another week....... honest.

Waiting again for stuff - on this occasion for the delivery of the binaurals. Passing the time with an update on Kevin-The-Plumber's efforts [he really is quite sweet] and the progress of Mike's mom. UPS pisses me off then eventually comes up with the goods. Paul goes into meltdown, runs around the apartment in a state approaching arousal, then rushes off to the Canary Wharf Mall with the binaurals to try them out.

Footnote: The segment I mentioned, of me skipping around the apartment does not actually appear in this episode ..... *ahem* .... due to a little oversight on the part of the producer (that being me). Yep, I fucked up and missed a bit out. But, no doubt, it will make an appearance at a later date.

This one starts off abruptly and a bit slow, mainly because it was never intended to be an entire episode. But a couple of hours and four, cobbled together, segments later ...... an episode does appear. On a lazy afternoon waiting for a plumber ...... Mike's mom has surgery ...... Mike's birthday ..... why I rarely talk about my workplace and then promptly do so ..... and as a thank you to K in the Southwest - Paul reads poetry.

Witness the development of the reluctant podcaster. I get back from food shopping and knock up a couple batches of marinade for tonight's dinner. That being medallions of pork filet in a Greek marinade cooked as a kebab including bell peppers, mushrooms and courgette, served with pitta bread and with sour cream and guacamole on the side. Add some intro and outro music - getting to grips with Audacity in the process - and there you have it.
